Our therapies
We are practiced in a broad range of therapies, which we tailor to meet the needs of each individual.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Used to treat a range of mental health problems and experiences, CBT is a type of talking therapy, which focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions, and teaches you coping skills for dealing with your problems.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
CFT is commonly used to help with feelings of shame and self-criticism, which often arise from early life experiences. Cultivating feelings of compassion, both towards yourself and others, can help to regulate mood and develop feelings of safety, self-acceptance and comfort.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Often applied together with Mindfulness techniques, CFT teaches you to stop avoiding, denying, and grappling with emotions and to accept that these are appropriate responses. With acceptance you can commit to making the changes you need.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR involves a specific structure of side-to-side eye movements that helps you to process negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories that have become stuck, and see things from a different perspective.
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
MI is a therapy used to help people who are ambivalent about making the positive change they need in their behaviour. For example, you may want to quit drinking but feel you’re not ready to. MI focuses on resolving this ambivalence by exploring your individual motivations.
Specialist ASD and ADHD assessments
If you need a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for legal, educational and vocational purposes, we provide an assessment and diagnostic service for people aged 16 years and older.
