I believe that everyone would benefit from having therapy if this is something they are interested in trying. I try to offer a genuine, supportive and friendly space in which people feel comfortable to express themselves and explore their difficulties with me. Through joint discussion we can better understand your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and body sensations and learn strategies that help to manage these for a more fulfilling life.

My story

I have always felt passionate about supporting and helping others and dedicated my career to pursuing this. I gained my Psychology degree at the University of Bath and went on to study Low Intensity Psychological Therapies at the University of Surrey. After qualifying I worked in London with adults experiencing a range of difficulties using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) strategies. Subsequently I then went on to complete my Clinical Doctorate at The University of Surrey and have since acquired further CBT accreditation.

I have extensive experience working in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and although I work with people across the lifespan, I especially enjoy working with children and teenagers. I like to think I am someone who young people may warm to, and who can work at the person’s pace to better explore and understand their difficulties, devise personalised strategies and support them to make the changes they want to achieve.

I am experienced at working with children, teenagers and young adults who may be experiencing a variety of difficulties including:

Neurodiversity including ASD, ADHD or FASD

Anxiety such as OCD, social anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, panic attacks and trauma

Depression and low mood including suicidal ideation and self-injurious behaviours

Gender Identity exploration / dysphoria and difficulties related to sexuality
